Vietnam – Active Romance Travel in Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An

By Eric Hrubant (Cire Travel, A Division of Tzell, New York, NY)

Vietnam is a fascinating country. There are countless vibrant destinations filled with history, culture, and color making Vietnam perfect for a unique and memorable honeymoon. Take Ho Chi Minh City for example, the city is packed with superb museums – including the Museum of Vietnamese History and the Fine Arts Museum – and elegant French-era colonial architecture, such as the stunning Saigon Opera House. You will find some of the most luxurious hotels in the country right here where you can indulge in the unbelievable cuisine together with your significant other. In Cholon, a quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, you can explore its temples and stop by Ben Thanh Market to get your partner a beautiful souvenir – or many. My tip: Experience downtown Ho Chi Minh City, still known as Saigon, from the back of a vintage Vespa.

Another great city to explore on your honeymoon or romantic getaway is Hoi An. The UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s great food capitals is undoubtedly one of the most attractive destinations in Vietnam. It is a well-preserved trading port from the 15th century influenced by its local and foreign residents. Here you and your better half can walk along the waterfront watching the colorful fishing boots and explore the town with its beautiful traditional merchant houses, temples, markets, and iconic 400-year-old Japanese Bridge. There are so many activities where the two of you can bond, learn together and grow together. Take a cookery class or go on a street food tour to taste authentic Vietnamese dishes such as pho and bun cha. You can also bicycle through Hoi An’s natural beauty, past rice fields and white beaches.

Bali, Indonesia – A Romantic Adventure

By Shay Harington (Tzell Travel Group, New York, NY)

A captivating destination, Bali offers a variety of dynamic experiences.  For a couple interested in a romantic getaway, Bali can be the trip of a lifetime, appealing to a wealth of interest.  Couples can begin their stay at a luxury beach resort in the southern Bali region – the perfect place to lounge in the sun, indulge in spa treatments or enjoy water sports.  From there, they can head up into the cultural heart of Bali: Ubud.  Here, couples can get busy sightseeing and experiencing the culture.  There are a variety of temples to visit, as well as activities such as river rafting, hiking or cycling rice terraces, shopping in traditional markets, cooking classes, sunrise hikes of Mount Batur and so much more.

A couple’s visit to Bali would not be complete without participating in a traditional ritual or chakra meditation.  Upon departing Bali for the long flight home, a stopover in a big city such as Hong Kong, Singapore or Sydney, can complete the journey, giving you everything an exotic romantic trip can offer: relaxation, culture, soft adventure and city.

Hong Kong – A Surprisingly Romantic Trip Awaits You

By Eric Hrubant (Cire Travel, A Division of Tzell, New York, NY)

When most people think of Hong Kong, they might think of crowded and noisy streets with rising skyscrapers. But that Hong Kong with its many beautiful islands can be a great place to spend a few days for a romantic getaway, is something worth knowing about.

Together with your partner, you can find a surprise around every corner in Hong Kong, which can be chaotic and serene at the same time. Stroll through Hong Kong Park and discover its large selection of exotic birds and one of the world’s most extensive conservatory, which is among the most extensive in the world. Stay at the enchanting Kowloon Shangri La. The luxury hotel offers elegant and spacious guestrooms and suites and exquisite dining options.

At night, I recommend taking a night cruise on board Aqua Luna, a handcrafted traditional Chinese junk. “The Symphony of Lights Cruise” has been awarded the world’s “Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show” by Guinness World Records and is a an experience you do not want to miss. As you relax on the junk’s lounge bed and enjoy a refreshing beverage, you will be mesmerized by the skyline of Hong Kong.

To see the softer side of Hong Kong, go to Kowloon and visit its markets, temples, and historical buildings. The Wong Tai Sin Temple is a wonderful place to take stunning photos of your trip together. The temple is surrounded by lush gardens, waterfalls, ponds, and pavilions – a very romantic setting. From Kowloon you can also enjoy spectacular views of Hong Kong’s impressive skyline, especially at night.
